Fugazi - Bad Mouth Live 1991
Bad Mouth came into my head unexpectedly a few minutes ago and the impetus to post it followed. I went looking for the album version and stumbled across this, this gorgeous piece of footage that reminded me that, while the 90s sometimes embarrass me, this is what the best of that decade's music was all about.

Ghost Performs Circe on Colbert
I've never seen any of the shows Mr. Colbert has hosted before but I LOVE his ice cream. Perhaps Ben and Jerry can give Ghost a flavor as well? Something like Chocolate-covered peanut butter crosses?
Just a thought.

ProtoMartyr - Take Away Show
At first I didn't get that this 7 minute and some odd second video is exactly what it says it is: a take away show. It looked like a video where the band was outdoors, sans electricity and pretending to play their instruments to pre-recorded music. Watch the entire thing though and you see mini amps on the bass and guitar players, you'll notice the drummer working - beautifully I might add - with one drum, and you'll see singer Joe Casey carrying his inflections through onto a very unique performance that just further assures me that, only about two weeks after first discovering Protomartyr they are one of the bands I am most excited about right now.

Nick Cave & Kylie Minogue Performing Classic "Where the Wild Roses Grow" Live in London!
Kudos to this fan for grabbing this distant yet still important footage. Have Cave and Minogue ever performed this live before? Apparently this will be used in the documentary Nick and the boys in the Seeds are focusing on currently, which you can read more about on mxdwn here.
And here's some floor footage I just found. Again, kudos to the person who posted this.

Oceansize - One Day All This Could Be Yours
My friend Jacob just got me into Oceansize. This particular track struck me - as I was listening to it the very first time - as amazing.

Dillinger Escape Plan w/ Mike Patton 2002 - Covering Justin Timberlake's "Like I Love You"
Continuing Dillinger Escape Plan week in honor of their new record having been released today (I HAVEN'T GOT MINE YET!!!).
The audio's not great on this - from where it was recorded the guitar is too loud and a horribly muffled mid-range blah, and the camera angle leaves a lot to be desired, but still, awesome to see them doing my favorite Justin Timberlake song w/ Patton.

Joy Division Live
My god, what year do you think this footage is from? Youtube truly has EVERYTHING on it Watching/hearing this sends chills down my spine. Words simply cannot express just how important I feel that Joy Division was to music and, subsequently, on comics (80's*/early 90's Vertigo stuff has Joy Division just dripping from it, as if the authors/artists were listening to their music at the time and acted as transducers, turning the sound of Joy Division into their words pictures. I've always thought the same could be said of much of The Smiths' music).
..............
* I should clarify that what I am perhaps clumsily referring to here is the fact that although Vertigo did not come into being until 1993 there were precursors at DC that would later be "re-branded" as Vertigo books, ie Alan Moore's Swamp Thing or even V for Vendetta which although published under the Vertigo banner for some time now, originally began as a serial in the pages of Warrior circa the early 80's.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds 2001 Concert
Well, the video for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds live at LA's Henry Fonda Theatre may have been taken off-line, but here's an older show to get us through those withdrawals.
